This is the height of absurdity. G. Gordon Liddy, the guy who was convicted on charges of conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping in connection with the Watergate break-in in 1972, is defending the US Administration's illegal activity of wiretapping.

Sure, I guess he's an expert on the subject, but why stop with him? You could bring in Charles Manson to defend psychopaths, Jeff Skilling to defend corporate corruption, Kim Jong Il to defend tyranny, and Alberto Gonzales to defend the US Constiution.

It looks like they're treating it all as a big fucking joke anyway.
