Now This Is TV!!

I've been dreaming of seeing this on US Headline News for years. Wow. Now that's entertainment.

I love the guy defending Bush, John Fund. His main argument is that Bush is inarticulate. Watch the video and tell me if you think he's simply inarticulate.

Let's say just for fun that he's not stupid. If we go with Fund's inarticulate argument, then what's the explanation for Bush's confusion? He always seems at least slightly confused. Even if you are an inarticulate President of the USA, surely you have articulate speechwriters, articulate advisors, articulate people surrounding you who could articulate what, exactly, is going on.

So if he isn't stupid, then he presumably understands these people. I declare that even someone who is inarticulate can make himself understood, if he understands what he's trying to say.

So then there are a few explanations:

  1. No one is telling him what the hell is going on.
  2. Everyone around him is stupid, comatose or dead.
  3. He understands what's going on, but couldn't be bothered trying to explain it clearly.
  4. He's a brilliant actor who has us all convinced that he's stupid, but really is a super genius.
  5. He understands what's going on, or at least partially, but what's going on is so crooked and corrupt that it's impossible for him to speak about it clearly and honestly, and, being stupid, he trips over himself trying to be disingenuous.

I pick, uhhhhhhhhhhh...............4.
