Brainwashed!!
I just saw an interview with Thomas Ricks on The Daily Show. I linked to him in a previous post.
It was amazing to see a brainwashed mind in action. He was talking about his book, "Fiasco", which seems to be a litany of incompetence and incompetents within the US side of the Iraq War. Whether it's a good read or not, give him credit for doing it.
It was what Ricks said at the end of the segment that showed us his squeaky clean cranium. Right at the dying seconds he blurts out words to the effect of "The reality is that we're stuck there". Really blurting, trying to fit it in before commercial. His vision of reality, that the US is stuck there, is really another way of saying "stay the course", which is what US Gov. officials have been parroting for years. YEARS!
The words "stay the course", if viewed from an angle, could be interpreted as "follow the plan". If we can go by what they say and do, if we can go by history, the plan is this:
Cultivate Fear
Initiate and Engage in Armed Conflict
Cultivate Confusion
Repeat
The plan is un-ending war, un-ending confusion, un-ending fear. This really must be their goal. They believe this is justified because it keeps them in power, keeps them in positions to influence society, and they believe they should be the ones influencing society. Everyone else is a barbarian, riff-raff, tools. Really not quite as human as themselves.
